• Getting your bait or lure deeper - For every oz of weight you attach, in front of your bait or lure, you add approximately 7 feet of depth to your presentation.
• Safer downrigging - When trolling near bottom you can add a weight between your downrigger weight and your lure to get near bottom without risking bottom contact with your downrigger weight.
• Getting really deep with a long line - by attaching multiple weights, with 50 feet of line in between, you can reach depths not achievable by other long line methods.
